Overview

Guests will be assigned a departure time to Alcatraz Island and an same day visit to Muir Woods, Golden Gate, and Sausalito. This one day excursion gets you three iconic attractions on our family style road trip! Enjoy a hybrid of light driver narration and TV narration of the Golden Gate Bridge and famous Alcatraz Escapes!

This tour includes:
Assigned by us: Alcatraz Departure Time Slot
Assigned by us: 70+ minutes in the park full of red woods
20 minutes in Sausalito (subject to weather/may only be a drive through)
$10 brunch credit to a vendor of our choosing

Your tour time will be assigned as early as 6:45am or as late as 5:00pm. Guests do not choose their time or order of activity nor should they expect they go when they desire. Tour ends in Fisherman's Wharf/Alcatraz. $15 Woods entry not included.

We reserve the right to designate what bus we operate or to switch order of operations. We assign your Alcatraz and van times. Guests do not pick their time or request departures.

What To Expect

Alcatraz Island

Same day Alcatraz Admission Inside Prison with audio tour included. Guests should allow three hours for this experience. Guests will be assigned to a time by our company and will not be changed. Guests are not required to take van tour if they wish only to experience Alcatraz portion.

Muir Woods National Monument

Guests will experience the tall trees in a 60 minute self guided walking experience. $15 admission is not included.

Sausalito

Guests will be able to experience 30 minutes here with a stop at the Ferry Departure point.

James was friendly, informative, and very accommodating. Our package included a morning Alcatraz tour. We had some time after the IHOP lunch to walk a couple blocks along the wharf before the van tour. We stopped for a photo on the Golden Gate Bridge. We spent about an hour in Muir Woods and 30 minutes in Sausalito. Each stop was the right amount of time for me as a first time visitor. I look forward to visiting both places again, as well as trying another of James' tours from The Tour Store.

I am the person who purchased trip so three of my friends could join. ..they had fun but this is my personal review 1.. Dont attempt humour that I am a .female . I'm man .my name's not Jessica. It's Jesse . I paid 600 for this trip.. not for bad insulting jokes. In front of my friends I invited.. no I wasnt the guest. 2. I see the faults. I couldake them great.. I only have time to maintain my company.. my friends really liked the driver so ill end my review here..

We apologize for the confusion on your name. The driver asked "Who is the birthday trip for?" from a woman sitting next to another woman. She said "it was a gift for Jessie" to which the driver assumed was short for Jessica (the woman sitting next to her she looked at). He was unaware that it was for Jesse; a man. He did not know who was who on the trip as we verify using last names. The driver immediately excused himself once he was told who it was for. There was no intent to make a joke or to make fun of anyone. It was a awkward situation for anyone presented with the topic. We are so sorry you were offended but please excuse us as name of Jesse often can be ambiguous to male or female. We loved your group and had an amazing time with you! It is a shame your memory is of this one issue and not of the spectacular time we all had on this tour. The driver came back and mentioned how much fun he had with your guests in Sausalito!
