Overview

This is a unique tour package to visit both the Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge! You will first take a short ferry ride from Pier 33 to the Alcatraz Island, where you can walk around the Island freely at your own pace and follow a 45-minutes award-winning audio tour in multiple languages of the Alcatraz Prison Cellhouse. Hop on to any returning ferry when you are finish touring the Alcatraz Island, and your San Francisco Bay Cruise Tour will start near Pier 39 where just a short walk from Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing. During the 60-minute Bay Cruise Tour, you will tour around the Alcatraz Island and under the famous Golden Gate Bridge, where you will enjoy breathtaking views of San Francisco and its bay!
Tips: You can do the Bay Cruise Tour before the Alcatraz Tour, or on a different date!

Loved the audio tour, very interesting and informative. Also bought a signed copy of a book by the last surviving Inmate, can’t wait to read it.

This tour is way overpriced and customer service is terrible. Save yourself a lot of money plus the frustration referenced by other reviewers by bypassing a useless middleman “tour operator”. This tour at $139 is marked up 75% over the cost if you book your ticket online directly with the companies operating the attractions (alcatrazcruises.com and blueandgoldfleet.com). Booking direct also gives you more options for departure times. For a 75% mark-up, there should be decent communication and customer service. We got to Pier 39 and discovered San Francisco Tours and Activities had sent us vouchers for a Hop on Hop Off bus tour instead of the Bay Cruise. We had only one afternoon in San Francisco, and instead of enjoying a tour we spent 2 hours on a bench at the pier trying to get the correct voucher. I called and left two messages with San Francisco Tours and Activities, but nobody ever called me back. I also called TripAdvisor, and they tried to help, but all they could do was resend the email with the wrong voucher. Our afternoon in San Francisco was memorable, but not in a good way.
