The ferry will leave on time at the specific time you booked. You have to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time at Pier 33. Walk, bike, take public transportation, or drive (as a last resort as it can be challenging to find parking), with easy access from anywhere around the Bay!

On the island follow the Cellhouse audio tour “Doing Time” 45 minutes available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

What To Expect

Alcatraz Island

You will take a short ride on a ferry (15min) to Alcatraz Island from Pier 33. Enjoy a 45-minute immersive audio tour to listen to the incredible history of the infamous prison. After that, you have all the time you want to explore the rest of the island. Then you can take any ferry back to the Pier 33. The ferry usually runs every 30 minutes.

Very interesting, beautiful views, ferry service very efficient, would highly recommend. Be prepared for a lot of uphill walking.

Had to cancel this tour due to circumstances out of my control. Gave almost 3 weeks notice. Tour operator completely ignored my messages and only replied when I got in touch with his booking system agent. Refused to give any refund even given good notice. Probably sold the seats again and made double the profit. Very poor customer service and snotty replies when they eventually came. I understand tour operators have been struggling last couple of years but this is totally unacceptable behaviour. Spend your money on someone who deserves it.

I am sorry to read you had to cancel your tour. This tour is non refundable as you saw when you booked it. We are always happy to help people but I don't even know who is it to help. I can't remember anybody that we didn't help 3 weeks ago. Please email me at [email protected] please. Something to understand, if you can't go on a tour for any of your reason when it is non refundable. Then you want a refund and if you can't get a refund by rule you write a bad review this will never help you to receive a refund. But if we missed something we will help. So please send me an email.
