So disappointed. My husband and I had been wanting to visit the 9/11 Memorial for so many years. We finally got the opportunity to plan a trip to New York for this last weekend. There were numerous companies who offered tours for the 9/11 memorial and after much research, I pre-paid for tickets for this company to ensure we would have a memorable visit. Unfortunately, we were to travel on American Airlines and arrive in New York the day of our tour. We were one of many hundreds if not thousands of flights canceled by the airline on Monday. As soon as I knew our flight was canceled, I reached out to the company not once but twice to ask if they were willing to work at all with a refund or even a portion of a refund since the circumstances were out of our control. I explained the flight cancellation and how disappointed we were to not be able to make it to our tour. This morning I received a message from them stating that because I did not give 24 hours notice from our tour time, there were no refund options. I had already explained to them, that due to the circumstances, giving 24 hours notice would not have been possible and I contacted them as soon as I knew. My husband was a Marine who served time in Iraq after 9/11. After his time in the Marines, he went on to become a firefighter where he has spent the last 15 years. We were so looking forward to finally being able to visit the 9/11 memorial grounds and to pay tribute to all the lives lost there that day. It is so sad that this company found it more important to keep our $210 for a tour we could not possibly attended than to do the right thing and refund our money. Do not choose this tour company. There are so many options out there, choose another.
