Unfortunately the three hour trip around the island was very poor. I have experienced many tours around the USA and abroad and this tour was quite a big disappointment. The guide had very little knowledge of the history of Martha’s Vineyard and commented very often on the terrible traffic jams as he drove us rapidly on boring roads around the island. During one of the two stops he berated us for returning to the bus 4 minutes late which was both embarrassing and inappropriate. He pointed out driveways leading to the homes of some famous people - dirt roads with No Trespassing signs. 90% of the trip was on very busy roads connecting one town to another. He did not tell us about the history or the culture of these communities. The driver needs to present us with a knowledgeable understanding about the communities and the notable people who have lived in this beautiful place. Or perhaps he could play a recording which provides the passengers with history and culture. This was a waste of time and money.

Others had the same tour... I'm not sure what you're talking about, but my tour guides all of them are getting huge tips Unfortunately, all the wealthy people have bought up the homes on the shores So the only roads we have are the ones that do connect each town. How do you expect to get from each town to another Most people that don't enjoy the tour are on their phone And when you are late, You are disrespecting others.... Why should someone miss their flight because you want to eat clams.... We always let people know how to do things when we drop them off.... For example, we tell them order first, NOT five minutes before the bus leaves. Because that means you don't care about anybody else... So the waste of time was our seat, given to you.... I treat everyone with respect and kindness and I let everyone know what's going on and how to get here, I am practically their travel agent..... 99%are very happy, You're part of that can't please everyone crowd.....So I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer..... Thank you....

Charles, our bus driver and guide, was knowledgable and entertaining. He explained the history of Martha's Vineyard and the past and present celebrities that have homes here. Actual sites visited were sparse causing tour to be boring in parts.

Stan was awesome! He was friendly and having grown up there he knew the history of the island. Really enjoyed the cliffs & lighthouse stop!
