Aquinnah Cliffs

See the maestic Clay Cliffs and Gay Head Lighthouse. We spend time here for shopping, eating and sightseeing.

Martha's Vineyard Camp meeting Association (MVCMA)

Learn all about the Gingerbread Cottages in the Methodist Campgrounds, See the iron Tabernacle and some of its original seats from the 1800s, The Pink House and The home where President Grant gave a speech. Get a feel of what it was like back then by going into the museum and getting up close and personal with the artifacts from long ago.

Stan the man was the driver and guide for our Thursday afternoon tour. He was very knowledgable of the entire island and because there was less traffic he even added a few of his favorite spots. The van is a little older but is kept in very good shape. The advantage is the van has more room in it than other tour vans and it is easier to get in and out of it. There were two handicap people on this tour and even though they needed help getting on and off the van, at least it was possible. Stan was very accommodating in giving us good spots to get on and off and directions to accessible restrooms.

The tour guide was very Friendly and knowledgeable. It would have been nice to see the Gingerbread houses. He could have stopped and let us walk and look at them for a few minutes. And the stops need to be longer.

Thank you for your review.... The Campgrounds where the cottage are don't allow us to drive thru.... And the spots are the perfect amount of time for each spot.... the tour would then take 4 hours.... That's why we have a private tour Next time you come, you could possibly look into a private tour and then you can pretty much do and stay where ever you like for however long you like.... 😊
