My wife and I took the Alpine Visitors Center Tour and liked it so much we decided to take the Lower Valley Tour that evening.
Ben is very friendly and has a ton of enthusiasm for the park and animals. We got a great overview of the different areas of the park during the Alpine tour. For the second tour Ben took us to several areas to watch the elk rut. In addition to being an interesting tour, getting an overview allowed us to enjoy the rest of our stay. Ben pointed out areas to see moose, elk and other animals and what the best times are to see the animals. Because of the tour we also knew the best places to take a hike on our own in the park. I think we enjoyed the rest of our trip much more because we took this tour compared to if we had simply driven our own car to the top.
The bus stopped at several areas for restroom breaks and to take great pictures along the way. Being on the bus was nice because we could bring a backpack with more layers of clothes. The temperature is colder at the top so I was glad we were able to add layers and take them off in the areas where it wasn't as cold.
The van is clean, comfortable and we were never worried about our safety. I am terrified of heights and have a neck problem so sometimes going on a tour like this can be challenging for me. Both tours combined were about 6 hours and at no time did I feel any discomfort or concern about the speed of the bus or the comfort of the ride.
