Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek

Overview
The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is a guaranteed good time for everyone in your group!

Last week my husband and I took a kayak trip with Amelia Adventures. We were very lucky as the other party was a no-show. Catherine, the owner, was one of guides and was wonderful! Margarita, our other guide was great as well. They were a lot of fun! We would not hesitate to use this company again!

Great trip — saw alligator and turtles. Guide Catherine was very knowledgeable. Lofton was quite busy with other groups.

Great time. Saw turtles and an alligator. Kind of crowded on the creek with several other groups at same time. Would suggest a starting a sunrise kayak trip near the beach!

We appreciate you kayaking Lofton Creek with us! You are right, it can get crowded out there from time to time and that is the reason we are the first to launch at 9 am...Sometimes, people have the same great idea to go kayaking. We have 5 other tours that launch at different locations and all customized to ride current. Let's give one a try next time:) If you want to kayak Lofton Creek again, we can do that too. We can even customize an earlier meet time. Thank you for touring with us and for taking time to leave a nice review. Until next time. -Catherine
