Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek

Overview
The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is a guaranteed good time for everyone in your group!

We took my wife on a kayak tour of Lofton Creek to celebrate her birthday. We had our 6, 8 and 10 year olds with us, and the trip was perfect. The kayaks were easy to handle, even with no prior experience. Catherine and Thomas were super helpful in getting everyone situated, and very knowledgeable about the area. We would absolutely do this again, and will look to book one of their other tours they offer sometime in the future. Definitely worth adding Amelia Adventures to your next trip to the area!

My 2 teenage sons and I, along with 2 of their friends, went on the Lofton Creek tour this past week. Thomas was a great guide; there were just enough breaks to simply enjoy the the surroundings plus learn about the creek and its wildlife. I have trouble walking and use 2 canes. Thomas was patient and encouraging...and ready and willing to help me get in and out of the kayak. Thank you! The photos taken for us were greatly appreciated; it allowed us to enjoy the morning without distractions! We had gorgeous weather in a beautiful, peaceful area. The boys (ages 14-17) and I agreed that it was truly a highlight of our trip to Amelia Island!

We had a great time on Lofton Creek. Easy kayaking. Lots to see. No fear of tipping the kayaking. No bugs. What could be better??
