Only on Hilton Head and only in Harbour Town can you sail aboard the real America's Cup, 12 meter, Stars & Stripes once skippered by the famous Dennis Connor. All trips take place under full sail. We only use our motor to get in and out of Harbour Town.

We don't offer any infant rates for this trip as the tickets are a per person rate. All ages will need a ticket.
Stars & Stripes is USCG approved to carry up to 30 passengers, but since COVID we have limited public capacity to 20 passengers.
Private charters are available for Stars & Stripes. Please contact Vagabond Cruise if you are interested to learn more about this option.

For yacht racing enthusiasts this is a dream trip back in time. The captain invited some of us to grind or take the helm. He was great about taking photos for people and is just an all around attentive and caring guy. The other two crew were very kind and helpful as well. For the non-enthusiasts it is still a pleasant way to spend a hour and a half. You'll get to feel the wind in your face as the boat heels and will probably be visited by dolphins a few times during the trip. There are boat cushions to sit on, but you do need to be flexible enough to sit on the deck cross-legged or legs extended.

I hadn't been on a monohull in a long time and love the experience. As a volunteer I offered my help with raising the sail. It is a bit of brief work but it paid off as I was invited to steer and had a great visit with the captain. It was the best part of my trip.

This was my first time sailing! I am 66 years old! It was really fun and exciting, especially when the boat tipped to the side I was on! Your question about what sort of visit does not offer a good selection of choices. I was with my daughter and her husband and a friend of theirs. We were told there were drinks available to purchase but we were never offered one or told how much they cost.
