We are avid sailers and thought this would be the best way to sail around the bay. The crew is very nice and teached us about the boat and their experience sailing in the bay. They also provide coats if needed (always better to be warm that cold) and participation is encouraged if you'd like but not an obligation. You can enjoy the view or partake in steeling the boat and grinding the sails. It's so much fun if you like sailing.

We had a great time on our excursion! The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed getting to participate in sail handling and a bit of time on the helm. The boat is a modern engineering marvel, and something to behold. Highly recommended for experienced sailors and novices, alike!

I couldn't recommend this experience more! The crew is extremely friendly and care about making this a cool, fun, unique sailing trip for all guests. The history of the boat is really awesome, and you pass Alcatraz on your way to sail underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. The experience can be hands-on (you can hoist up the sail, steer the boat, etc), or you can sit back and relax while other people do the work :) The views of San Francisco from the bay are incredible. This is a great experience if you are visiting San Francisco or if you live here and want to do something different and unique.
