This was so amazing! They have timed entry right now because of COVID and we were so sad that we didn’t get an earlier time. We didn’t think there would be so many interesting things to do! The two teenaged girls I was traveling with loved it, also. When I get back to NYC, I plan on spending a lot more time on another visit here.

This place was a bit overrated....and a bit overcrowded. It's an absolute maze to navigate and very difficult to see any exhibits because of the sheer amount of people crowding around everything. I will say that after finally getting our turn to see the gem exhibit we were giddy as the collection was very nice. Make sure to scan their poster to get in line to see the gem exhibit as they will not let you in unless it is your turn. We stayed for a few hours but like I said...way too crowded to really take in many exhibits so we left for the subway.....which is where my tip comes in. If there is a massive thunderstorm outside...you DO NOT HAVE TO EXIT THE MUSEUM AND GO AROUND TO THE SUBWAY FROM OUTSIDE. The attendant at the side gate was pointing people to the subway via the outside route through the rain instead of suggesting they go through the lower entrance to the museum and avoid the rain. Please train your staff better museum or...please have better signage.
