Guests must provide a car seat for small children or babies on Farmlands Tour. ALL children must have a ticket. Parents may not hold or share a seat with children or babies.
Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.
No pets allowed.

What To Expect

The Amish Experience

The Amish Experience at Plain & Fancy Farm SuperSaver package includes three activities. At this time we ask that you wear a mask to participate in these activities. Amish Farmlands Tour: 90 minute guided Amish farmlands tour using our air-conditioned 14 passenger mini bus. A stop along the way for authentic Amish goods is included. Amish Experience Theater: 35 minute, five-screen, special-effect film called "Jacob's Choice." Follow a young Amish man as he decides whether or not to be Amish, and experience history through flash-backs in the film. Amish House and One-Room School: The Amish Country Homestead is a 45 minute guided walking tour of a replica Amish house and school on site at the Amish Experience.

I thought the multimedia experience was terrific and the homestead area was nicely appointed. However the guide was unsure about the facts, could not answer questions and when I quoted from the Lancaster main website on the Amish claimed that it was biased despite not being able to answer the fundamental questions about Amish and technology. I felt that without the right guide this part of the tour was not worth the money. I had hoped for a real bona fide expert.

Both sets of senior parents visited for several days. Booked this tour for them and they could not stop talking about it. So much so that my husband and I plan to book the same tour.

Jeff was a great tour guide on the bus throughout the beautiful countryside, stopping at the working farm, at the movie, school & house !!!!
