This was a trip I had wanted to take for many years. Finally found ourselves in Philly on business so made it happen. When I started looking at things to do to maximize our time I came across The Amish Experience. We did the VIP 1-on-1 3 hour tour. It was the most amazing experience. I couldn't have imagined anything better. Visiting an Amish dairy farm, bottle feeding a baby calf with warm milk that had literally just come from a cow, then a Amish home bridle business and finishing up at a retired folks home sitting on their porch and just chatting and finding out about their life. Meanwhile watching 4 of their 43 grandchildren swimming in the natural pond. A memory of people and places I will not soon forget!

The VIP experience is an interactive bus ride that rides thru the countryside and stops at 3 Amish homes to see how they work their crafts/farm/dairy. You get to talk with the family and the final stop includes a visit to an Amish home to talk with the family. Ask them questions about their lifestyle, work, family, things they do, anything you want. It is very interesting and educational. Get to know the Amish life. We had a great time. Our bus driver/tour guide was DeAnna, a fantastic and knowledgeable lady. She can answer any question and knows the families personally. It is definately an attraction I will do again. Bring your kids, they'll love it.

My friend and I did the VIP Amish Experience tour last week. The tour started at 5:00 PM and ended shortly after 8:00 PM. Beth was a wonderful bus driver and also told us a lot about the Amish way of life. She was great at answering questions, too. We went to a farm during milking time and watched the cows being milk. I had the opportunity to bottle feed an young calf. Then we went to a harness markers shop, and learned about the man's business. His young daughters were there to show us some of their helpful sewing skills. Finally, we were invited into an Amish couples home for a nice visit. It was a wonderful introduction to the Amish country..

Dear Brenda, Thank you for visiting and for your great review! It's great to hear that you had such a positive experience and enjoyed having Beth as your guide. (And how often does the opportunity come along to bottle feed a calf?) Thanks again for visiting!
