Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

We booked the VIP tour for our very first family trip to the Amish county. And it was worth it. In a small group we visited three stations, where we had a look into the way of living and thinking of the Amish people. They were all friendly and very open to our questions. Our tourguide and driver, Joe, made a very good job and while driving us, he explained a lot of the daily life things.. Great experience!

The tours at the Amish Experience were great. We had Jay on our bus tour and he was very informative as we traveled through the farmland, then onto the theater with the story of Jacob Fisher. We then visited the school and farmhouse where Art shared about the home and schooling of the Amish. The most unorganized part of our visit was the buggy ride. We had to wait too long and it was getting late in the day. Overall the tour was very good.. enjoy!

What a fantastic & informative day we had . The timings of the 4 events we purchased were brilliantly co-ordinated. First of all we did the one room school house & was fascinated by all we learnt. After this we had lunch in the Amish restaurant and found it to be quite well priced and tasty. Next was the coach tour through the Amish countryside and again gained a lot of knowledge about these fascinating people. Our driver was Kent and his commentary included anecdotes from his personal experiences and friendships with the Amish. He made sure that we all had opportunities to observe Amish & Mennonite family life, without being too obtrusive. We also had an opportunity to stop at an Amish farm & purchase the gorgeous home made soft pretzels & lemonade. There is also a good shop in which you are able to buy locally made goods. We gained so much information from Kent that the 90 minute drive went by in a flash. Next we watched the movie (with special effects) called Jacob's story & once again it reinforced what Kent had told us. Finally we took a short free Buggy ride into another couple of Amish farms. All in all a great day, which I found absolutely fascinating (sorry keep using that word , but that is what it is). Well worth the visit and highly recommended
