Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

The Visit in Person tour was wonderful. It was so nice to speak directly to an Amish carriage maker, an Amish dairy farmer and an Amish family in their home. To see their processes was educational. The speak one on one with them was an eye opening experience. It seems the Amish are on display, gawked at by the cars passing by...this was a true visit where they were not an exhibit but allowed for fellowship. The private buggy ride was wunnabaar gut!! (Wonderful good!)

We learned so much about the Amish people, their beliefs, and their way of living during our three hour visit. Joe, our driver and tour guide for all three parts of our Amish Experience, was great. He was both knowledgeable and personable - two traits that are not always found together in tour guides. We highly recommend this trip as a great way to gain insight into an essential aspect of Lancaster County.
