Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

We really enjoyed our in person tour with Jack as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. Amish were very welcoming and we enjoyed learning about the dairy farm and woodworking businesses and greatly enjoyed the in home visit. We booked this last minute and it was a perfect way to see a lot and learn a lot in a short time. (Just so you’re aware Amish don’t believe in COVID and don’t wear masks—we wore ours and have been vaccinated so we felt ok but would not have if this wasn’t the case.)

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Lancaster and he scheduled the Visit in Person Tour for us. Our bus driver and tour guide Beth was awesome! Full of knowledge, answering all of the questions we kept asking and really helped to guide our interactions between us with the families we met. We met with three different families who all had different skills, businesses and stories. They were happy to talk and share their evening with us. They were open to questions and it was the exact immersive experience we had hoped for. Thanks Beth for a wonderful evening and we hope to meet again soon.

Thanks for the great review. The Visit-in-Person tour provides what many visitors hope to accomplish, but wonder how to go about it.

Just finished an amazing tour with Jim of the school hour and home tour! Very informative, learned a lot! and would def. recommend !!

Thanks for the great review. The Homestead is one of the original activities we had going back decades. Of course we've updated it through the years to stay "current" with Amish trends.
