What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

This was a great day out, David our guide/driver was extremely helpful and knowledgable, he told us so much about the surrounding area, the history and flora and fauna! At one point there was a chance we might not be able to see Antelope Canyon due to rain but David worked hard and got us on to the last trip that day! It was amazing to see this beautiful canyon. Lunch was very good and substantial, drinks were available all day whenever we wanted them.

Everything about this tour was AMAZING! Antelope Canyon is awe inspiring and the canyon guides are knowledgeable and patient as well as being very good with cameras, helping you get the best shots and also, taking pictures of you at the best spots. Horseshoe Bend is also an incredible place to meditate and take pictures or just be in awe as you are perched 1000 feet above the Colorado River overlooking the Arizona landscape.
The absolute best part of this tour was our guide Dave. He picked us up promptly from our Flagstaff hotel and kept us entertained and informed with his witty and kind, gentle nature and his great knowledge of the canyons, Navajo Reservation, and the land of Northern Arizona. He took us to Glen Canyon Dam between the two advertised stops where he served us lunch overlooking Lake Powell.
As we headed back to Flagstaff from Horseshoe Bend, we stopped at the Cameron Trading Post to check out/purchase local Navajo products and we also made an unexpected stop closer to Flagstaff to smell the fragrant butterscotch scent of the Ponderosa Pines!
This was one of the best days of my life and I highly recommend this tour and I highly recommend Dave as your tour guide!
