What To Expect
1
Navajo Nation
Travel through one of the most biodiverse stretch of highway from Flagstaff at 7000 feet, the Navajo Nation, and the red rocks of Glen Canyon before arriving at Horseshoe Bend
2
Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.
3
Glen Canyon Dam Overlook
Enjoy amazing views as you enjoy a picnic lunch at Glen Canyon Dam Overlook.
4
Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

What to say - you never know what you're missing unless you see it. Horseshoe Bend is spectacular and there is no picture to do it justice. Antelope Canyon is what you imagine in storybooks. We could not have picked a better tour company who not only provided us a comfortable and air-conditioned van with snacks, delicious lunch and hours of historical and fun information, but went over and beyond when unexpectedly my husband's hiking boots had a malfunction! While in Horseshoe Bend, the soles on both of his hiking boots came off (yes, this is what happens when they sit in your garage for years). Needless to say we were not sure what to do. We asked our guide if he had duck tape (who carries that?) and without thinking twice he mentioned that he Brought running shoes and offered my husband his hiking boots! WOW! We were so very grateful and such an unexpected event met with such kindness. You won't go wrong with Grand Canyon Adventures!

Tour company 5-star ! Our Guide was incredibly knowledgeable and very entertaining. Van was stocked with snacks, water and a very good lunch. The tours start from Flagstaff, so be prepared for a long drive. This is why we appreciated a great guide: she knew the area, history of the land and had much knowledge of the Native Americans - making the drive pleasant. The Guide who took us into Antelope Canyon WAS AWESOME !! A Navajo Indian with a great personality and excellent skills with phone cameras. He helped me take photos I never would have been skilled enough to take. Note that you will be descending VERY steep steps to get into the Canyon. They are very strict about no backpacks/buttpacks and must carry only plastic water bottles. Breathtaking !!!
