Horseshoe Bend
Next, it's off to Horseshoe Bend. Take an approximate 0.75-mile (1.2-km) hike that brings you to one of the best overlooks. At a point not far downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam, the Colorado River meanders around a rock promontory, creating the horseshoe-shaped loop beloved by visitors and photographers from around the world. As you approach the edge, take in the wonderful view. Please note: You'll hike a total of 2 miles (3.2 km); comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended.

Antelope Canyon
At Antelope Canyon, follow your Navajo guide through a narrow slit in the earth where youā€™ll see the sculpted sandstone cliff. Sunlight from overhead creates shafts of light that pass into the canyon, making it even more beautiful. Descend ladders into the depths of the canyon to discover more of this serene place, and take photos with help from your guide about using the right settings on your camera for the light and the best angles for taking interesting shots. Antelope Canyon is a photographers dream.

We were staying in Flagstaff and decided to book this tour through Grand Canyon Adventures so we could sit back and relax while someone else did all the work. I booked online and within 24 hours got a call confirming all the details. Perfect. There were six people in our tour and our guide was Scott. The tour offices had coffee and muffins available before departing. We left the tour offices promptly at 8am. It took about 2 hours to reach our first stop, which was Horseshoe Bend. Scott gave us good information and advice about the walk to the lookout and provided water and umbrellas. We then went to the Glen Canyon Recreation area to view Lake Powell and the dam and have lunch there. The lunch provided was good - sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, fruit and drinks. Be prepared - there is no table to sit to eat. We sat in the shade outside on the rock wall and it was comfortable, even with temps in the mid 80's. But it would have been nice to know there would be no real seating for lunch. We then went on to Lower Antelope Canyon. Scott did a great job of explaining the tour and getting us into the building where the tours of the canyon start. Tyler was our Navajo guide and he took us into the canyon. The tour took about 1 1/2 hours. We got back to Flagstaff around 5:30. It is a full day tour and worth every penny. Grand Canyon Adventures took care of all the details. Our guides, Scott and Tyler, were excellent. The sites you will see are AMAZING! Horseshoe Bend and the Glen Canyon recreation area are beautiful and Antelope Canyon is a unique experience that will take your breath away. The sites are so amazing that you will not want to be distracted with driving, buying tickets, lunch etc. Book this tour with Grand Canyon Adventures. They do a GREAT job.

I flew down to Phoenix Arizona from NYC solo and decided to join the tour 5 days prior to its start. The tour company tried calling me 2 days before the trip to confirm the time and location but I was not able to pick up their call. They emailed me right away and I called them back to double check everything. Their customer service was excellent and I gotta say it was way better than a lot of big companies. Even after the tour ended, they sent me a thank you note so I know how much they appreciated my business. Just Wow!!! The day of the tour was amazing. We started off with the lower Antelope Canyon and the view and the landscaping here was breathtaking. As soon as we finished with Antelope Canyon, it started pouring, and our guide, Jenn (short for Jennifer) was fast to switch things around to accommodate the weather. Jenn was so knowledgeable that I felt like having a history class. She was also friendly throughout the tour. This tour is a must for everyone who wants to see the Antelope Canyon. It's well worth the price.

This was by far the BEST tour I have ever taken!! Our tour guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained the whole day. The company was very easy to book with and provided great information. I definitely would recommend this company and would love to go back.
