Steveebe was our wonderful driver and guide -he explained the history of the land embellished with some funny stories and made the long drives feel like nothing. At Horseshoe Bend, be prepared to walk in the sun on sand to get to the beautiful view. Sunscreen and a hat are a must. Steve knew the best spot for pictures -we got a superb panoramic photo without any other humans in it, despite it being very crowded. Antelope Canyon is a wonder -you will get a separate Navajo guide. Our guide was Leiland (might be spelling it wrong) who was excellent -took the time to explain how it was formed, and taking pictures of us and for us, showing us the best spots and angles. Be sure to bring some cash along -I left my things on the van and couldn't leave Leiland a tip. Steve had plenty of cool water in the van and makes enough bathroom stops -as it was summer it got very hot in the van at times as we had a full tour, but so long as you keep hydrating you will be fine!

Spent yesterday traveling through the Navajo Nation to Antelope Canyon from Sedona. I was a bit concerned about the length of this day- 12 hours door to door - with several stops; Horseshoe Bend, Navajo Market, Lunch in Page, Antelope Canyon, etc. I shouldnā€™t have worried. Every moment was beautiful and inspiring. Even the moments driving. Our guide, Steve, taught me more about geology, history, Native American culture in this one day then I learned in all of my formal education years. He was brilliant and I loved learning about what I was seeing as we drove along. He introduced me to a an elderly Native American woman at the Market who was weaving a stunning rug. She has been weaving her whole long life and has 3-4 years of commissioned work still to go. Talking to this gentle artist from a different way of life was a highlight for me. Steve also told corny jokes which kept us laughing (and his play list rocked). Antelope was stunning but it was only one of many stunning moments I experienced this day. Thanks Steve!
