Overview

Cruise Canyon Lake for 90-minutes aboard Dolly Steamboat. This narrated cruise explores a slot canyon. Keep your eyes open for long horn sheep and eagles. Venture east of the Valley, deep into the Sonora Desert, along the Apache Trail. The Southwest and northern Mexico are the only places on earth where this lush desert exists. Visit Tortilla Flat, a former stage coach stop, which boasts a population of 6 people! There will be some browsing time here. Take a short walk into the desert where your guide will point out the desert plants.

A very good choice for a cruise. The Captain narrated as we floated along. We saw a sheep resting in the shade under a boulder. There were a lot of boaters and kayakers on Canyon Lake The ship was clean and inviting. Enough seating both inside and out for all the passengers.

The steamboat ride was wonderful and relaxing. The Captains narration was fantastic. However, our guide Frank made the trip for us. He exceeded our expectations with his knowledge of the history, vegetation and love of the area. His efforts to make our tour run efficiently added greatly to our enjoyment. Thank you Frank!
