Arches National Park 4x4 Adventure from Moab

Overview
Hop into a Toyota Land Cruiser with your expert guide and head north from Moab to the backcountry entrance of Arches National Park and avoid the crowds.

Our first stop is to see dinosaur footprints. For millions of years this area was teeming with dinosaurs.

We pass Balanced Rock, one of the most iconic features of the Park, standing a staggering 128 feet. Landscape look familiar? Indiana Jones, and Thelma and Louise have scenes shot here.

The 4X4 trail into the backcounty climbs a short but steep rock wall passing sandstone fins, towering pinnacles and tall spires known as the Marching Men. We stop at Tower Arch for an optional hike.

As you travel along the track, hear informative commentary about the geology, wildlife and history of the park.

We make another stop at Eye of the Whale for an optional hike to a seldom visited slick rock playground named Herdina Park.

After exploring the backcountry we exit past the three gossips and Park Avenue before your guide returns you to Moab.

1
Arches National Park

An expert guide will maneuver your 4WD past red rock highlights such as Marching Men, Tower Arch and Eye of the Whale. Experience these monuments and more up close and learn about the parkā€™s wildlife and history.
2
Mill Canyon Dinosaur Trail
This 5-hour tour even includes a stop to see fossilized dinosaur tracks, left behind millions of years ago when dinosaurs roamed the region.
3
Tower Arch
An optional hike to the awe-inspiring Tower Arch begins at the foot of the bluff, where the 4WD road ends. From here, the route is rocky and steep, though short. Tower Arch itself is very large with a 92-foot span and can be viewed from the trailhead for those opting out.

This off-roading tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Moab. You will see parts of the park that you could never reach from the paved roads. Blaine, our guide, was funny, informative and engaging. He made it his mission to ensure everyone on the trip, from 15 to 50, had an experience to remember. Thanks to NAVTEC and Blaine for one impressive trip to Arches National Park!

We had an excellent and informative tour with Navtec on our visit to Arches. Our guide was full of nuggets of information about the area, the history, and the park. Plenty of water breaks (and bathroom too!). A great overview of the park for those who want to come back in and explore more on their own afterward, or for those with limited time. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area for the first time. We took the tour in the morning, and then went back into the park in the late afternoon/evening on our own. Summer 2020 was a weird one for the books for sure, but we felt Covid protocol was being followed with everyone's safety in mind.

We did a four hour sunset adventure trip(8/21) with Chris exploring Arches national Park. Chris was an awesome guide and took us into some hard to reach areas with his 4 x 4- which was half the fun. He also took us to see some great Arches as we wanted to do a lot of hiking as well. Chris asked us what we were interested in doing and provided us exactly as we requested . He pointed out things that we would never have noticed and taught us a little bit about botany, geography, geology, paleontology among other topics. Chris gets a huge thumbs up!! We would definitely do the trip again and will now include NavTech as an adventure tour group that we will consider on our next trip.
