Arches National Park Back Country Adventure from Moab

Overview
The tour will head north on US 191 passing the entrance of Arches National Park which was designated as a National Monument before being changed to a National Park in 1971. Our special use permit allows us to enter the back door to Arches via the Willow Springs Road. Along this backcountry route, you'll travel through the new area of the "Utah Raptor State Park". Here where Native Americans lived back in history for thousands of years you'll see dinosaur tracks and enjoy the views of the La Sal Mountains. The Park lies atop an underground salt bed that is responsible for the arches, spires, and sandstone fins. Several of the stops include Eye of the Whale, Balanced Rock, Panorama Point, and the Windows Section. The trip length is approximately 4 hours duration. All vehicles are Jeep Rubicons which are enclosed and air-conditioned.

Really a terrific trip with Mark as our guide! See parts of the parks that most won't see/don't have access to. Clean, nice equipment. Excellent guide. When we come back, we will take more tours with Adrift Adventures!

Our family had the most wonderful time exploring Arches with our guides, Jim and Mark, from Adrift Adventures! They were so knowledgable about so many different aspects of the park, particularly the rock formations and biodiversity! Would go back with them any time!

We totally enjoyed our 1/2 day Arches tour with guide Jim Schreck. Jim's a great driver, very knowledgeable, shared so much history of the area and took us to places we'd have missed. Such an enjoyable experience we signed up for a 1/2 day Canyonlands tour the following day, which was equally enjoyable.
