With sweeping views of mountains and valleys, you will see the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline System (TAPS), one of the largest pipeline systems, transporting thousands of gallons of oil from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez, up close.

We actually took 2 tours from the company. First, we took the Arctic Circle/Northern Lights tour. This trip was in a comfortable van with 6 other people. The van was not packed and was comfortable. Ricky, our guide, was excellent. His driving was great and he knew a lot of information to impart along the way. 2 nights later we went on the Aurora Chasers tour. We wanted to go looking one more time during our trip and we were able to book this tour the morning of. For this tour, there were only 3 of us, we chased the aurora up into the darkness of the mountains. Again, a wonderful tour.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and informative. Within minutes of booking the trip on line I was contacted by a staff member confirming my pick up time, location, food choice. In addition to a nice bag lunch, with a vegan choice, hot coffee, chocolate, tea, or water was provided. I was picked up at my hotel on time by Ken, the tour guide for this event. I was impressed at the quality and cleanliness of the van. There were 7 of us in a 9 passenger vehicle so we were comfortable. I was from DC, 1 from Chicago, 3 from Vegas, and 2 from Hong Kong. Once we all assembled in the van Ken took time to explain how the 14 hour day would progress. He reemphasized how our safety is paramount with Alaska-Wild-Life Guide that the van was equipped to see to our comfort in the event we became stranded due to weather or some other unforeseen event. The van had a CB and a satellite phone. Once we left Fairbanks there was no cell service. Ken is very knowledgeable about the area and talked to us for most of the trip explaining various scenic things along our route. When we stopped, he never rushed us or seemed that he was in a hurry. Although all the sites were very interesting were we stopped, the big thing was aurora borealis, northern lights. That was at the top of everyone’s list. Ken amazed me with his knowledge of how it forms and develops. There is never a guarantee that the lights will show themselves or be fantastic. On this night we were treated to awesome show. Ken’s knowledge helped us to park, and view the aurora at the optimum time. I highly recommend Alaska-Wild –Life and diffidently ask for Ken. He saw to our every need and did his absolute best to see to it that I, we, had the best experience possible. I highly recommend it…… Clayton

Hello from North Pole, thank you so much for leaving us such an amazing review. We really appreciate it and are so glad that you had a great time. The safety of all of our customers and the guides (as well as anyone else we meet on the road) is our number one priority. It can be dangerous here in Alaska and this is the reason why we recommend to take tours instead of trying it on your own. We have experience and all needed equipment, which is being checked daily and kept up to date. We are really glad that you had such a great time and that you recommend our tours. kind regards, Sylvia
