With sweeping views of mountains and valleys, you will see the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline System (TAPS), one of the largest pipeline systems, transporting thousands of gallons of oil from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez, up close.

Last week we took a tour from Fairbanks to the Artic Circle, We got picked up at our Hotel at noon and there were only 4 of us in the Van, plenty of room to move around. So we set out for the long ride on the Dalton Highway which was breath taking, at one point it became a Winter Wonderland with pure white snow everywhere!!! Well at about 3:300pm the Van broke down, the transmission blew, but that’s okay we made the most of it til another Van came and took us the rest of the way, we only waited 4 hours for the Van and thank goodness we had heat and if you had to go to the bathroom, well you just went on the side of the road😄! We all laughed, talked, slept, took photos and our driver and tour guide Daniel was amazing, he did everything to assure us that we would get to the Artic Circle and WE DID MAKE!!! It was about midnight, we did stop for dinner at a small restaurant which was good and had real bathrooms!! We ended up with another driver to help out Daniel! Both were amazing and the experience was well worth it! Along the way we saw the Alaskan Pipe line and the Yukon River which we got to take photos of both. We got back to Fairbanks a little later than planned at about 5AM!!! I would highly recommend them in spite of the Van breaking down and my friend and I said we would go with them again!!!!

The tour guide knew a lot about the alaskan pipeline and Alaska. He drove very careful made sure we were all warm and happy. The food provided was very good. The best part was we stopped and got to take photos of the pretty views! And we saw a red fox running across the road!!! Even though it was cloudy, on the way down we got to stop and take photos of the Aurora Borealis or northern lights. The tour guides made sure we got to see the lights. The guide know I'm a photographer and made sure I got the photos! It is a long drive but it sure is a nice road! :)

I have wanted to see the Aurora Borealis as the last thing on my bucket list. Now I will need to make a new bucket list. Matthew, our tour guide, was terrifc. He knew exactly what he was doing at every step of this 14 hour tour experience. The time flew by as he provided us with the opportunity to do and see everything this tour promised. From bringing us to see the Alaska pipeline to bringing us to the Arctic Circle, he was knowledgeable and personable. He was relentless in working to make sure we saw the northern lights and our group was able to see them. The two tour guides I have had with this company, Matthew and Grace, both did outstanding jobs. They even made us aware about bathroom breaks, which come infrequntly on a trip like this. Bucket list item checked off.
