1ST ALASKA TOURS: We went. March 12 1pm to approx 5am March 13. It is a trip I will never forget. Trip up to Arctic Circle - Cloudy overcast (Got some of my best pics from the van (front seat going to Arctic Circle) - snow covered trees were just captivating. Aaron was great and most helpful with group pics. Return trip to Fairbanks, the Heavens(Stars and Aurora) just opened up for us. Entire Van had refused any negative thoughts, given the overcast trip up.!. AARON was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and very enjoyable to talk with, while keeping us all safe on the remote roads -Skies were so clear I was able to infinity focus on the Belt of Orion. I could have taken another couple hundred pics, but the remainder of our guests were a little tired. I was a little too, but the Aurora is a rush!!! Did not know I was really tired till I got back to the hotel (I already shot over 200 Aurora pics - 30 sec avg exposures -so I was not without the best of opportunities) The opportunities to see and photograph the Aurora were priceless, and AARON's enthusiasm was contagious, even for those who were past their normal bedtimes (smile). One sees the Aurora and one does not not even think about the cold. Appreciate all considerations given to us. Even saw a Lynx - live one! Not Yukon Jeremy"s (@Yukon Lodge - terrific Food!).Thank You again Aaron!!!!!!! Jeff the designated Copilot (smile). Will do so again - in a heartbeat!

We had the Arctic Tour scheduled for today, and another tour for Friday, the 17th. Unfortunately my husband became ill and we flew home Tuesday night, 3/13. I called them to cancel both tours due to medical reason. I was told there are no refunds. I reread my email confirmation and website info, and could not see any refund policy. I did notify the company, but was not offered any type of reimbursement compensation. Doesn’t seem correct.

Hi Buckielf, We were sorry to hear that your husband had become ill and the 2 of you were not able to join our tours. We do have a non-refundable policy unless we were to cancel the tour. This policy is told to all of our guests who book over the phone and it is on our website for guests to read prior to making an online reservation. In addition to notifying guests of our policy prior to payment, we also include the policy on our confirmation e-mails. If you would like to contact us at our office we can forward your original confirmation e-mail and highlight the refund policy as well as the follow up e-mail that you requested after cancellation. We hope your husband is feeling better.

Just a business that provides a great experience. I chose the Arctic Circle as the adventure but we used 1st Alaska Tours for quite a few adventures. We of course did the Arctic Circle. We did the hot springs, town tour, dog sledding, and aurora viewing. All the activities were just fantastic. I was tired as all get out because the activities we chose all begun later in the day; but well worth it. 1st Alaska Tours were on time picking us up every day. They provided a decent meal during the Arctic drive. Both vans we rode in were clean and as comfortable as a van could be for the arctic drive. We had Randy and Dave as guides. 1st Alaska hires some great tour guides. This isn't a job for them. Both our guides had extensive knowledge of everything Alaska. Every question was answered with informative details. Just amazing how well versed these guys were in their knowledge and how awesome it was that they shared their experiences living in the wilderness. In closing the review I'll say this: If you want a nice relaxed tour in Alaska choose 1st Alaska Tours. Just a fantastic experience.
