Advertised as a mine and mill tour, you go maybe 75 feet down a flat tunnel and the rest of the time you are in a hot mill. The tour is pitched at adults and bored my 10 year old. The gold panning at the end was the only good part. Is only good for people who want to listen to an hour and a half of technical mining history.

This experience was educational, interesting, interactive, and fun. We started off with a short film and conversation which set the tone for all we were about to take in. A quick bus ride to the top of the mine followed by a tour through the mine itself and tunnel was amazing. I had no idea what this adventure would be like but I loved it. We were happy to learn to pan for gold back on ground level and keep our finds too!

Great, but not enough information. Would be very helpful if tour guide had microphone and we had headphones to hear his presentation. Lots of artifacts in the mill, but not enough explained. While working conditions were touched on, some data as to death rate, injury rate and so on would be nice.
