We stopped by the Argo on a rainy cold day hoping to go on a tour of the mill/mine. As the only 2 people there, we weren't confident that a tour would still be offered... boy were we in for a surprise! Despite the cold temps and it only being the 2 of us, we were provided with an incredibly informative and humorous tour- we learned so much about mining and its history in this town! Our guide gave us ample time to explore the site and ask questions. We ended with gold panning, a fun little activity, despite being a "timid panner". :) We loved this place and cannot recommend it highly enough.

I went on this tour a couple weeks ago and had a great time. My tour guide was Will and he was awesome. He was very informative and hilarious.

As a South Africa from a Gold ming town Springs I really enjoyed this location and its history. The tunnel itself has been pluffed 30 metres in so no deep walk into the mountain. The crusher and refinery are a maze of wooden walkways and platforms covered in Zinc sheeting. A well preserved monument to the industry in the area. The guide was well informed and entertaining.
