Your daylong expedition starts at the Grand Canyon Airport (South Rim) with a 1-hour plane ride over the Grand Canyon's East Rim, the Colorado River, and Lake Powell. Then receive a picnic-style lunch and board your motorized raft to float 15.5 miles (25 km) along the Colorado River through Glen Canyon as your guide talks about the history and geology of the area. A 30-minute hike is also included.

A few things that Viator did not make clear that they should have and slightly spoilt our tour. Told all water was provided, which it wasn't so didn't bring any with us and struggled all day. And not told about the opportunity to swim on river rafting so didn't bring any swim wear or towels which was a great disappointment. Otherwise good tour.

I was VERY nervous about the plane flight as I have a fear of falling. Once the 16 passenger plane (including 2 captains) took off, I was immediately at ease. The small plane felt just as safe as much larger passenger planes. The views were truly indescribable. I didn't know which window to photograph and video out of as each had a more incredible view than the other. Wish the airplane part of the tour was a bit longer. As mentioned in other reviews the headset and recorded narration is due for an upgrade. Antelope canyon is a must see. ESPECIALLY if you are into photography. Our tour guide Rick was incredible! He not only knew where to stop to capture the best images, he actually borrowed different people's cameras and captured INCREDIBLE images for them!! Another incredible highlight to the trip. The raft ride on the Colorado through Glen canyon was really nice, though as others have mentioned, would have been nicer at an hour shorter duration. Our boat captain was quite knowledgeable and taught us a lot. Oscar our bus driver was amazing! Friendly, personable with lots of great information and suggestions and an excellent driver! A point of constructive criticism - when I first booked the trip, the booking agent told me to be sure to pack bathing suits for a dip in the Colorado River during the raft ride. When grand canyon airlines called to confirm a day before the trip, I tried to confirm the bathing suit need and asked about footwear for antelope canyon. I was told to absolutely NOT bring a bathing suit as the river was way too cold to swim in. I was very surprised when our raft captain offered the opportunity to take a dip in the river - which both my boys did in their clothes! That all said - sneakers are plenty adequate for antelope canyon (I wore hiking boots) and definitely bring a bathing suit for a potential dip in the Colorado River (yes it was cold, but tolerable and refreshing in the shallows.) Sunscreen, water and a good sun hat are highly recommended!

Highly recommend for anyone looking to make the most of a day at the Grand Canyon! Each piece of the trip was enjoyable, although I do agree that the rafting portion could have been abbreviated .. but, I think it’s just a matter of access points! Lots of water available along the way and you’re encouraged to hydrate! Pack sunscreen!!
