Overview

Your daylong expedition starts at the Grand Canyon Airport (South Rim) with a 1-hour plane ride over the Grand Canyon's East Rim, the Colorado River, and Lake Powell. Then receive a picnic-style lunch and board your motorized raft to float 15.5 miles (25 km) along the Colorado River through Glen Canyon as your guide talks about the history and geology of the area. A 30-minute hike is also included.

OMG I have lived in AZ since 1987, been to the Grand Canyon on several occasions and NEVER seen it like this: from the plane with Grand Canyon Scenic airways....views that have to be seen this way to be believed. Then transport to Antelope Canyon for viewing the "slot canyons" which, with the incredible light and shadow seem like something "other worldly". Dee was our Navajo guide and was fabulous and explained the history of the canyon, geologically and from the spiritual viewpoint of the Navajo culture. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the urgent need to care for Mother Earth. Brandon was our bus driver (big guy, red beard :-) ) and was delightful and efficient getting us to the rafting on Lake Powell, and BACK to our hotel again. I wish I could think of the name of our young raft pilot. He was working here this summer before he goes to college. SO enthusiastic and so knowledgeable about the area, the history and the importance of water conservation. This is a trip I'd gladly do again. So thankful our tour included these activities.

The plane ride with Craig was amazing. Comforting and adept pilot, incredible views and we were lucky to have a very smooth trip. The trip through antelope canyon is a bit rushed and focused on pictures, but still impressive! And the boat ride is beautiful, with lots of great information about the canyon. It just runs a bit long at 3 hours! Make sure you bring a water bottle (and some snacks!).

This was an amazing day! We started with an hour-long flight over the Grand Canyon, followed by a walk through Antelope Canyon - which was beautiful! The tour guides know how to get all the best pictures, and we even learned some photo tips along the way. After that, it was on to a 3-hour raft down the Colorado River. We even stopped a few times to see Petroglyphs and cool off in the 48-degree water. Our bus driver Oscar made the 3-hour drive home enjoyable by showing a great movie that had all ages entertained. Overall, one of the best travel experiences out there!!
