A sobering reminder of the realities of war, the Arlington National Cemetery is a beautiful tribute to over 400,000 service members and their families buried there. Learn about the more famous tombs, like that of President John F. Kennedy. We’ll even explore a few surprising graves, like that of famed boxer Joe Louis. The cemetery is even home to memorials commemorating the disasters of space shuttles Columbia and Challenger. Along with a few carefully selected residents like Audie Murphy , your engaging guide will take you to the Tomb of the Unknowns where you may even witness a Changing of the Guard ceremony. Walk these hallowed grounds to learn how the home of Robert E. Lee, whose Arlington House we’ll visit, became one of the country’s largest national cemeteries.

Changing of the guard was a spectacular event ! Leigh , our tour guide did a phenomenal job sharing detailed history of Arlington Cemetary ! An outstanding tour , would highly recommend even if experienced before !

We have been to the cemetery many times before. We chose to do a private walking tour as part of our staycation spring break and it was definitely a highlight! The walking tour was excellent because we learned so much more about the history of the cemetery and the many people buried there. Our guide, Doug, was super knowledgable and a fantastic storyteller. History came alive, even for the three skeptical teenagers on the tour who all said they now want to visit again and learn more.
