This was a great experience! Our guide, Mandy, led us on a 2+ hour tour highlighting masterpieces of the museum that we may have missed or passed over if we were just left to our own devices. There is so much to see at the Art Institute, and I feel that this tour helped us get the most out of it with the limited time we gave ourselves. Even though I had a university art appreciation class and several other museums under my belt, I still got a lot out of it, and at the same time, a travel companion who did not have either of those things enjoyed it equally as well. Recommended.

Sarah guided us through the expansive Art Institute for 2.5 hrs. Her theme was space and time. We stopped and discussed many art pieces, moving in a chronological order. Sarah is a art historian so was able to explain and highlight many things about the paintings/glasswork. The tour was very interactive and she asked our opinions as well. The pace was perfect and the entire experience was very well organized. We were on a time budget and this was the best use of it. If we had gone on our own, we would have felt overwhelmed and wondered what we missed. I can’t think of a better way to visit this gallery.
