Great time discovering little gems right in our backyard. I never would have found these places with RCFT. Can’t wait to do the Church Hill excursion next, hopefully with our same guide, Rachel, she was great!

My husband and I have now taken two tours with Richmond City Food Tours, the Carytown tour and the Arts District tour. We were not disappointed with either! As our 5th year anniversary approached and the reality of not being able to take a trip began to sink in, I started scrambling for something memorable. Then I remembered how much fun we had on our Carytown food tour, so I booked the Arts District tour through River City Food Tours. It was the best decision I made! The first pleasant surprise occurred when we first met our tour guide, Rachel. Turns out we had just seen her a few days ago during our trivia challenge at Foo Dog as our enthusiastic host! This was clearly someone who loves and knows this city! The rest of the afternoon followed suit. We were able to sample foods at six different restaurants, all of which were completely satisfying. How did I know that I truly enjoyed this experience? Three simple reasons: 1) I left with a list of restaurants I wanted to go back and revisit to have dinner at, 2) I literally said to my husband, "I think I might like to work for them. What an amazing job!" 3) I decided that anytime I visit a city in the future, I'll look to see if they have a food tour there. Thanks for setting the bar high, River City Food Tours!
