One of our kids had a performance at the Carpenter center recently and we were so surprised to see how many restaurants had popped up in the area. We really enjoyed getting to know a part of town we don’t frequent. We’re both foodies so it was a great “date night “ (in the afternoon) for us. I think it would make a really great first date also! We can’t wait to return to several of the places we visited on the tour.

We go to Carytown quite often, but we keep hearing about restaurants we should try in other parts of the city. The Arts District food tour was a great introduction to a fun part of RVA that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. The guide, Rachel, was really well informed and personable. The group was just the right size (13) to be talkative but not overwhelming. The hosts at each restaurant were fun to talk to. And the food was delicious! Also: we had to change the date, and because this tour was a gift we were not familiar with the policies. Brian was flexible enough to reschedule us anyway, which we really appreciated.

The River City tour is fabulous. Rachel is a good tour guide. The stops were not only very tasty, but fun and eclectic. We love the pool demonstration and the Angels wings at the espresso bar.
