Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience
  • Gear/equipment sanitised between use
  • Guides required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons

Torin is a consummate story teller and tour guide and showed us the highlights of Asheville on a quiet Sunday morning ride. Highlights were the Basilica of St. Lawrence, the Grove Park Inn, and the architecture and history of the area. Torin pointed out areas to take pictures and made sure to snap a few of us enjoying ourselves. Unbelievable value for the price of the tour. The bikes are well maintained, easy to ride and made the hills easy to negotiate. I actually felt bionic! We were able to park our small RV at the Flying Bike, take the tour, and afterwards enjoy retracing some of our ride to have lunch and also use our own electric bikes to hit additional highlights of Asheville like West Asheville and the River Arts district. Torin was very safety conscious and we had an absolute phenomenal time. I can not recommend this tour enough! He also suggested lunch and dinner locations and other areas to tour and a cool place to park when visiting the Biltmore. We felt like Asheville insiders!

Loved the electric bike experience and our guide Turion, was fantastic too! I highly recommend this type of tour. It offers the flexibility to see Asheville from a different point of view. Our group had a GREAT time and was great as everyone was at different fitness levels.

My husband and I took a weekend trip to Asheville to celebrate our anniversary. On a whim, we decided to try an ebike tour, and I’m so glad we did. Torin was a great guide and the bikes were so much fun. He took the time to make sure each person was comfortable on the bikes before starting. The tour was really informative and Torin made sure we had lots of great recommendations for the rest of our trip. I highly recommend trying The Flying Bicycle. It was my favorite activity we did on this trip.
