Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience
  • Gear/equipment sanitised between use
  • Guides required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons

My girlfriend and I lucked up with some warm weather in February and booked a tour during our 1-year anniversary get-away in Asheville. As we walked up to the meeting point, I could see the bikes ready to go and the owner, Torin, was standing nearby. Torin walked up with a big smile and introduced himself. We picked out some helmets, went over some formalities, and then discussed the bikes and its features. After a quick overview of the bikes, we had a chance to get a feel for the bikes in the parking lot before we embarked on the tour. Torin was very personable and full of knowledge; he pointed out things that I would have never noticed. He is that "cool school teacher" bringing life to what some would consider "dull material". We had several stops at some awesome places and even had the ability to walk around and take pictures (Torin offered to take some photos for us to help avoid those awkward selfies). He provided water and stops for bathroom breaks. Bikes were easy to use, built to accommodate people of different shapes, sizes, and age. Bikes include governors so you do not whiskey throttle into a wreck. Will definitely book again! Thanks Torin!

My husband and I have toured cities via walking tours, small charter vans, Segways, horse-drawn carriage, etc., but by far this was the most delightful and interesting tour we've taken. The peddle-assist electric bikes made going up Asheville's many hills a breeze, and allowed us to exert as much or as little energy as we wanted. Our tour guide was full of fascinating details and took us to places around town that I would have easily missed. He had terrific archival photos with him of how Asheville and its iconic buildings used to look, and that enhanced the day even further. We were lucky enough to have a perfect 60 degree sunny day and the whole experience was magic! Always felt safe. Would HIGHLY recommend.
