Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience
  • Gear/equipment sanitised between use
  • Guides required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons

The Flying Bike
Join us on a fun-filled and informative bike ride around Asheville! Meet us in the heart of the South Slope amidst the breweries and restaurants that are making a name for this neighborhood. • Our first stop will be the amazing Basilica of St. Lawrence, a masterpiece of local architecture. We’ll tell you stories about this impressive structure, which features the largest unsupported dome in North America. • From there we ride down the quiet streets of the Historic Montford Neighborhood alongside some of the most beautiful grand old homes in Asheville. We’ll take the peaceful Reed Creek Greenway as we climb through North Asheville neighborhoods up to the historic Grove Park Inn to get a magnificent view from the Sunset Terrace. • Heading back downtown, we’ll stop in Pack Square, a perfect vantage point to learn about Asheville’s abundant art-deco architecture, the 2nd largest collection in the U.S. We will share stories of Asheville's recent history, its challenges and triumphs.

Thank you Kelvin for our tour. This is a great way to see Asheville your first day to get to know the neighborhoods and especially if you come from flatlands! There are plenty of hills which are a challenge for us so these the electric bike take all. The huffing and puffing out. Kelvin was very knowledgeable about the city and truly gave us the high Ights. There are many diverse things to see and do. Cecile and Nancy

Thanks so much for writing such a kind review! Kelvin told me he loved his time with you too! I'm always happy when people come out and ride on their first day in town so we get a chance to give all the best recommendations for things to to see, do and eat! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the bikes too! Our new fleet of Pedego Boomerangs are more than capable of taking the work out of climbing even the biggest hills! Please come back and ride with us again the next time you are in town. We are planning a new tour and a lot of other big things to come later this year! Torin

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Asheville. Our guides, Torin and Dustin, were exceptionally knowledgeable and great guys all around. If you have never used an electric bike, no worries! They teach you all you need to know. Great excursion for couples! I would suggest the three-hour tour, because the two-hour one flies by.

Thanks so much for the review! Dustin and I really appreciated you guys too! It's always amazing to have kindred spirits to ride with, and even more fun when someone is celebrating a birthday with us! I hope you guys had a great time in Hot Springs too! It's such a hidden gem so close to Asheville! We actually don't have a three-hour tour, but I will keep that in mind. We do have some exciting changes on the horizon including a new tour, so please come back and check us out again the next time you're in Asheville! Torin

Torin was a GREAT tour guide who was very knowledgable about the city and highlighted the history of Asheville in a well-rounded and honest way. The bikes are great, very easy to use and I barely broke a sweat because I chose to cruise at a higher gear. The trail was a good mix of downtown, landmarks and a nice botanical park. I highly recommend this tour.

Wow!! Thanks so much for the review! I really loved my ride with you two! I especially enjoyed being a part of your once-a-month adventures! You're such a fun couple, I think your strategy must be working! I'm also glad that my presentation of Asheville's history resonated with you. I'm always learning and trying to find effective ways to share the aspects that I'm passionate about! Next time you are up the mountain keep an eye out for our new tours and come ride again! Torin
