Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience
  • Gear/equipment sanitised between use
  • Guides required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons

We’ll take the peaceful Reed Creek Greenway as we climb through North Asheville neighborhoods up to the historic Grove Park Inn to get a magnificent view from the Sunset Terrace. • Heading back downtown, we’ll stop in Pack Square, a perfect vantage point to learn about Asheville’s abundant art-deco architecture, the 2nd largest collection in the U.S. We will share stories of Asheville's recent history, its challenges and triumphs.

The ElectroBikes tour was a great choice during our stay in Asheville. The business is newly owned by a young family and Torin was an excellent guide who has carefully mapped out a path to bring us safely through several really awesome sites in the city. His knowledge, patience, and thoughtfulness made the experience very comfortable and our time in Asheville was greatly enriched after hearing all of the neat historic details and recommendations Torin shared with us. The electric bikes are AMAZING and made traveling up the hills a breeze. We never got tired. If you love Asheville and want to love it even more, I highly recommend this tour.

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and thorough review and recommendation! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the kind things you've said here! This is the type of connection and experience that I strive for with every tour, so it is extremely rewarding and humbling to see that I hit that mark on your ride! I do love Asheville and keep finding new things to love about it and to share all the time. Electro Bike Tours is creating a new tour that will roll-out this spring, so please come back and ride with us again the next time you are in town! Torin

Torin is a a great guide and the electric bikes are the way to go when exploring the hilly city. We had a great time seeing all the best attractions and learning interesting historical facts about Asheville. Torin also had some great restaurant recommendations!

Thank you so much for this excellent review! I'm glad you enjoyed your ride and tried some of the restaurants I suggested. To be honest, it's pretty hard to go wrong recommending places to eat in Asheville! We have some of the best places to eat anywhere in the world as far as I can tell! I usually work up some pretty serious cravings by the time I'm done telling people about all my favorite dishes! Electro Bike Tours is planning a new tour route this spring and some of those restaurants may even be on the ride, so please come back and ride with us again next time you are in town! Torin

My husband and I took the tour with Torin our last full day in Asheville. We had been spending days in the mountains and wanted to see some of downtown and Asheville before we left. Torin was a fabulous tour guide and knows so much about Asheville. We would have not seen, nor even been aware of, the Grove Park Inn if we hadn't done this tour. Loved the electric part on the hills! Would highly recommend. We developed an interest in the Appalachian Trail and discovered that Torin and his wife thru-hiked the AT 11 years ago. Was fun learning about his experience with that adventure as well as learning about Asheville while biking.

Thanks so much for such a thoughtful, in-depth review! I love to hear that you discovered parts of Asheville that you wouldn't have otherwise known about! The Grove Park Inn is definitely a gem! I don't always bring up my Appalachian Trail experience, but it's always fun to talk about when someone is as interested as you were! Likewise, I love learning about my guests' experiences and adventures since I don't get out as much as a parent of two. Electro Bike Tours is planning an exciting additional tour route for this Spring, so please come ride with us again! Torin
