Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience
  • Gear/equipment sanitised between use
  • Guides required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons

This was our first visit to Ashville and we booked the Electro Bike tour to show us around the area. We were taken around by the owner Torin, he was a great guide, having knowledge of every aspect of Ashville and showing us some great sights. The bikes were great, the extra power was great on some of the hills. We would recommend this to anybody wanting to learn about Ashville and it's history. It was only my wife's 2nd time on a bike in over 15 years and he was very patient and helpful as she was a bit unsteady to start with.

Imagine riding a bike through Greenway's and historic areas that have hills with little to no effort. This is like a dream come true, after doing this everybody will want to own one themselves! Very friendly, and informative tour of Asheville. Grove Park Inn, downtown, botanical gardens, Montford historic area, and winding path along the Greenway.. The greatest part is you don't ever get tired, and you never want it to end. Definitely something that you have to do more than once, two thumbs up!!

Wow! Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I'm delighted that you had such a fulfilling ride! I do hear from a lot of our customers that they want to get an electric bike as soon as they get home! I commuted to work that way for years, so I definitely understand the appeal! I didn't want the ride to end either and now I get to do them every day! Electro Bike Tours is planning to add a new route this spring so by all means come back and take-in even more of Asheville with us! Torin

Recently turned down a chance to do an electric bike tour while in Rome, Italy because I saw beautiful new carbon fiber bikes hanging on the wall of the bike shop and went with what felt comfortable for me since the electrics seemed heavy and sluggish. Wow...was I wrong! If you have never tried electric bikes, Asheville is the perfect place (hills and vistas). Torin is really passionate about the bikes and Asheville, so you won't ever get a better guide...period. Oh, yeah...and he's the owner, also...can't go wrong. Two hours is the perfect amount of time ...great group, and my family loved it...(everyone is a different skill level which did not matter in the slightest).Do this ride!!!

Thank you so much for this extremely kind review! I'm so glad you didn't pass up the electric bikes this time. I agree that they really do provide a unique ride that has to be experienced to be understood. I absolutely love that they let families of different ages and abilities ride together on routes that might not previously have been possible! As you mentioned, Asheville is full of hills and views that are not to be missed! If you come back to town please look us up again as Electro Bike Tours is planning an exciting additional route for this spring to share even more of our beautiful city! Torin
