Additional Info
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • The electric bikes will take all of the hard work out of your ride. We routinely have riders that span the spectrum of age and fitness. The main requirement is that you be coordinated and fit enough to balance a 55-pound bike. A training and practice session is provided at the start of each tour. For people that would like to go on the tour but are not able to balance a bike, it is possible to arrange a ride on the back of one of our stretch cargo bikes that will be driven by another person in your party.
  • Legally, you must be 16 years or older to operate an electric bike. Guides reserve the right to request proof of age of any rider. Riders should also be at least 5 feet tall to operate their own bike. Guests younger than 16 may ride as a passenger with an adult in their group on the back of one of our cargo bikes or in a child seat (for children ages 1-6 or up to 48.5 pounds).
  • Tours are subject to favorable weather conditions. If there is light rain in the forecast but none at the start of the tour, we will decide together at the time of the tour whether to ride. We will provide rain ponchos and rain covers for the storage bags on the bikes to protect your belongings. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Social distancing enforced throughout experience
  • Gear/equipment sanitised between use
  • Guides required to regularly wash hands
  • Contactless payments for gratuities and add-ons

We had so much fun touring the city of Asheville on battery-powered bikes lead by Keelan, our guide/co-owner. It doesn't take much to learn to ride and it's so easy to pedal your way up and down the hills, including the uphill driveway to the Grove Park Inn where we learned the history of Mr. Grove and his famous guests at the inn and spa and saw a gorgeous view of the mountains and Asheville. We also heard the history behind the making of Asheville and the art deco buildings throughout the city. We were two couples in our 60's and thoroughly enjoyed this way of touring. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes to bike.

Today was my second time on this tour and it was as good as the first time. Love the electric bike which makes it easy to pedal around. Taylor and Keelan are fabulous guides and share so much history of this great city. I cannot wait to do this again when their food and beer tour start. I highly recommend this tour!

I found this tour on the internet. We both like to bike so thought it would be a good way to see Asheville. What a nice tour - beyond our expectations. Our guides Taylor and Keelan were knowledgeable, the bikes were amazing, and the tour was a lot of fun. The motor assisted bikes made riding the hills very enjoyable - we got exercise but did not strain ourselves on the hills (you decide how much effort you want to give and the bike does the rest). This was a great way to see Asheville and is highly recommended!
