As someone from Houston area I found this tour to be both fun and eye opening. I didnā€™t know about any of the restaurants on tour beforehand and was impressed with each stop. Guide Matt was friendly and really know his stuff. Getting to see the tunnels for first time despite living here for over 24 years was also cool. Will recommends to friends and co-workers!

I thought this tour was excellent and among the best food tours weā€™ve done both in US and internationally (prob a close second to Amsterdam). For one, DO NOT eat before the tour of you will be stuffed after first restaurant which is a Mexico City style taqueria. The birria (pulled beef) and street corn were the best Iā€™ve had in the states. What I appreciated was the variety of restaurants and the tour itself. Tour guide Vanessa did a great job of giving time to properly eat, socialize, and digest food while also chiming in with some background about each restaurant. She also provided a nice history section of tour from religious center to old historic park. We also appreciated that each restaurant was locally owned and were unique to city of Houston

Food was tour with a couple of co-workers was a blast!! We ate more than what we could handle to be honest and ended up taking food back to hotel. Each stop was different and had a different vibe from traditional Mexican cantina to Italian jazz club feel. There as also a tasty stop in the tunnels. The tour portion itself was equally professional with Vanessa leading our group and sharing interesting knowledge throughout. She sent us a long list of recommendations and of tour restaurants so we could return on our own time
