A personable tour guide made the whole experience enjoyable. Learning about the tunnel system was enjoyable, and made even more so in airconditioning (the surface temperature with humidity was sweltering).

Our guide Vanessa was simply awesome 👌. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the buildings and tunnel. Obviously she's a people person as she had friendly interactions with some regular employees/people in the tunnel. I could have easily given this tour a 5 however the tour ended almost 5 blocks away from where we started. Which means if you're unfamiliar to the city, it will take a while to get your bearings. It would have been so much nice and less hassle if visitors are returned to where the tour started. Otherwise, a tour you should take!

Hello Dawn, Thank you for coming on tour on 6/16/21 with your family and again on 6/25/21 with your friends visiting from Florida. We are glad to have spoken with you in person during your last tour and cleared-up any confusion that we end 5 blocks away from our starting spot. The reason the tour ends on Main St. and Texas Ave. (like mentioned on our listing) is because all the restaurants and hotels are closer to the ending spot than the starting spot. Our tour guides are very well trained in giving clear and direct directions. Your tour guide, Vanessa, had walked a part of your group down to a food hall shown during the tour. While your party told the tour guide you were fine to walk straight down to the meeting spot. Had anyone in the group asked to be walked back to the starting spot your tour guide would have been more than happy to. As mentioned during the tour, our starting and ending spots have changed several times due to the pandemic (COVID-19 has led many restaurants to close their doors permanently). Your review highly impacts how potential guests view us online. We would appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to modify your low rated review. Astroville Tours is the only non-franchised small business that runs tunnel tours in Houston and as you can imagine we were severely impacted by the pandemic. Please reach out to us by email if you have any more questions or concerns at [email protected]
