We had less than 2 days in Houston. I found the weekend tour and the underground tunnel tour the only afternoon options available. We did both and greatly enjoyed them. The tours covered the major sights of interest in historic downtown. Our guide was Luis, very intelligent and social. We got lots of historic information. The meeting place of McDonald's turned out to be convenient too, as it is conditioned and you can get food or drink before the tour. The tour is on foot, you do need comfortable shoes.

Had a great time time with Luis and Vanessa during our tunnel tour. The guides were knowledgeable and charming. I had no idea Houston contained such an extension tunnel system--one could easily get lost without guides. Some fun, some dining (during break), much educational value, and even some Texas history in this walking tour. A large group as well solo individuals attended during my tour (and both types seemed to have a pleasant time). What a delightful experience. Tip: wear comfortable shoes.
