Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location that's using using Marta train riders, Uber/Lyft drop offs. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Parking is available, but isn't free! The parking garages and lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Please arrive 15-20 min before tour departure.
Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
The morning tour starts from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon tour 2:00pm-6:00pm

Awesome!! What should have been a six hour drive for us to Atlanta ended up being a nine hour drive due to Interstate 20 being shut down. We phoned ahead to try to change our reservations but was unsure if it could be done. Omar (our tour guide) text me as well as called me to check on us and once he found out our ETA he rerouted his pickup stops to allow us time to get to our hotel for pickup. We greatly appreciated that!! Once on the tour, his Black History knowledge was almost mind blowing, every question asked was answered and given a very detailed answer. For me, it was a very humbling experience to walk the streets that some of our Civil Rights pioneers walked, to see their homes and even restaurants where they ate and made plans. I absolutely loved the tour and would do it again! Side note.... my younger daughter wanted to tour the Trap House, the reviews were mixed so I wanted to see for myself where it was and the line status before trying to tackle traffic in an unfamiliar area, Omar detoured from his normal route to go by there for us!!! He was AMAZING!!

Omar was very knowledgeable and funny! There was so much to see on this tour. This was the highlight of my trip to Atlanta definitely worth it.
