Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location that's using using Marta train riders, Uber/Lyft drop offs. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Parking is available, but isn't free! The parking garages and lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Most important to arrive 25-30 minutes before tour departure.
Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
The morning tour starts from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon tour 2:15pm-6:15pm

This was a great tour! Our tour guide Jeff was patient, hilarious, smart, and exhibited a wealth of knowledge surrounding Atlanta's Civil Rights and Black American History! Jeff not only provided us with transportation, knowledge, charming stories, stats as well as anecdotes he provided snacks as well! Downloading the PhotoCircle app so that all of the tour guests can share pictures throughout the tour is an amazing idea. The accompanying historical photos to compare to what you're actually seeing on the tour dramatically helps with the story telling and visualization. I loved that the tour was interactive as well as allowing guests to deboard at certain landmarks to memorialize, explore, shop and take pictures. Jeff gave us great tips on places to patron (and NOT to patron, lol) after the tour based on the area we were staying in Atlanta. We had to hook him up with some Krispy Kreme donuts when we stopped at the Hank Aaron owned Krispy Kreme in the historic West End of Atlanta. The light was on! 😁 A must-see, in depth tour that only scratches the surface of historic Black Atlanta. Can't wait to come back to Atlanta with family and friends to take the tour again.

Had a GREAT time on this tour! Learnt so much about Atlanta and it’s history as well as experienced some of the food and historic sites. The tour guide was charismatic, thoughtful, informative, and had us laughing the whole way. This was my third day in Atlanta from California and I would say this was definitely one of the peaks of my trip. 10/10 I recommend⭐️🌟⭐️
