Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location that's using using Marta train riders, Uber/Lyft drop offs. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Parking is available, but isn't free! The parking garages and lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Please arrive 15-20 min before tour departure.
Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
The morning tour starts from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon tour 2:00pm-6:00pm

I planned a weekend getaway to Atlanta to celebrate my husband's birthday. This entire trip was nothing short of AMAZING!!! We spent our Saturday with Omar and Kai and we're more than grateful we did!! They are a power couple working together and sharing their knowledge of the civil rights tour and surrounding areas! We learned so much from them during our tour!! They were so personable and humbled!! Thank you for being authentic in a world full of phonies! May the presence, peace, and will of GOD be your guide as yall continue to pass on your knowledge to others!! This trip was more memorable than yall could imagine!! Be continually BLESSED!!!

My mom, sister, and I were visiting relatives in Atlanta and wanted to experience its rich culture and heritage. We wanted to maximize this experience and knew it would be better achieved seeking someone who truly knew Atlanta’s history. We found the gem we were looking for in the Atlanta Black History/Civil Rights Tour! Omar, our tour guide, provided the usual Black History/Civil Rights sites and facts that left you awestruck moving through or passing by the same spaces that some of the great leaders and pioneers met and lived. He also gave us the cultural tour that included the site of Tyler Perry Studios’ beautiful campus, businesses owned by various celebrities and influencers, and spots where various movie scenes were shot (Black Panther, Hidden Figures, School Daze, and many more). Our guide also had us laughing, answering trivia questions to test our knowledge of ATL, and he answered all our questions. We had a great time! I couldn’t believe how fast the time flew by. We were full from the experience and from the delicious lunch at the market.
