Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location that's using using Marta train riders, Uber/Lyft drop offs. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Parking is available, but isn't free! The parking garages and lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Most important to arrive 25-30 minutes before tour departure.
Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
The morning tour starts from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon tour 2:15pm-6:15pm

Jeff was an amazing tour guide!! I have never been to Atlanta or Georgia before and wanted to take a tour to learn about the city. Jeff did a fantastic job and we covered so much ground!! I feel like I learned so much about the city in my short time in Atlanta and I’m so happy I explored a lot! We passed by Underground Atlanta, the Georgia State Capitol, the courthouses, and then passed by the stadium on our way out to Tyler Perry’s studios. We got to see the entrance to the studios, learn about the compound, and then go visit Madea’s house before driving through the historic and beautiful West End Neighborhood. We passed through the HBCUs and got to hear a lot about them and their alumni which was great. We also drove through Vine City and Auburn Ave. where we stopped to get treats from Sweet Auburn Bread Co. which was DELICIOUS! And the MLK Jr. NHS is just incredible. I would highly highly recommend this tour. The photos and videos that are put up on the screen are super helpful and the tour is paced well. My only critique is I could’ve stayed at the MLK sites longer!

Due to forecasted inclement weather on my scheduled date I had to change our tour date to the next day. Unfortunately, the day was not available. However, the owner, Omar, did call me back. He was very apologetic and Omar contacted another tour guide he was familiar with. The tour guide, Henry, was also very understanding. He picked us up at our location and we went on our way to see important locations regarding Black historic sites in Atlanta. Henry not only was courteous, drove safely, but he was knowledgeable of the facts. I live in metro Atlanta and could have taken my guest out myself but I was not interested in driving myself. Plus, my guest was handicapped and that was my original reason for hiring a tour company. I recommend this business highly! Thank you Omar and Henry both!
