Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel is the meet-up location for all travelers. Good location that's using using Marta train riders, Uber/Lyft drop offs. The hotel has comfortable lobby seating, clean bathrooms, and Starbucks (opened 6am-1pm only) Parking is available, but isn't free! The parking garages and lots are located about one block from the hotel. Parking rates range $10-$30. Please arrive 15-20 min before tour departure.
Tour operates in all weather. Umbrella or rain poncho is recommended for for light rain. For extreme weather conditions, please call the phone number on your voucher to reconfirm tour operation.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers
The morning tour starts from 9:30am-1:30pm and the afternoon tour 2:00pm-6:00pm

Jeff, our tour guide, was terrific. He was very knowledgeable, drove us all over the city, and showed us areas good and not so good. We learned about civil rights leaders and saw historic and fun spots ( including where rich folks with big feet get their handmade alligator shoes). We went to a fun local spot for our lunch break. Even though there were only 3 of us on this particular tour, our guide gave us the full first class tour.

Our tour guide Mr. Omar was very knowledgeable about not only the civil rights history of Atlanta, but the behind the scenes and current history of Alanta. He was engaging, which allowed everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the tour. This tour is great for all ages. I attended this tour with my Sorors of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, and our ages ranged from mid 30's to 60's. In which will all left with a piece of knowledge. Not one person left without saying,"Wow or "for real" or "Oh yeah". When I return back to Atlanta I will be bringing my teenage son on this tour because it would be like him taking a history class without realizing it. Thank Mr. Omar. Look forward to touring with you again.
