This tour of Atlanta was one of the best guided tours we have ever taken. The Guide which I believe is a owner of the tour company was so full of information, that he was talking to us most of the 5 hour tour. There was a separate driver, which allowed our guide more time to concentrate on informing the people in the tour. At the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Park we had lots of time to learn about the man and his positive influence on the integration process. The National Park has guides who could answer individual's questions. But, our guide had some details that the Park guide didn't. Our guide had extensive knowledge on any subject about Atlanta and it's history. The guide had to spend a lot of time continually digging into details that he knew people would like to hear about during his tours. We got out of the bus 3 times, as I remember. They were at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Park, CNN building for lunch and for a walking tour on a paved path through a renewed part of Atlanta. On this walk the guide filled us in on more about Atlanta, it's history and it's people. To reiterate, this was one of the best guided tours we've ever had.

If you go. You meet inside the Peachtree Mall in front of the Chick-fa-la.. the tour was just okay to me. I felt we didn't spend much time at the important parts. I was very interested in the MLK sights and hated we had to leave. Not enough time to read and take pictures. As we were about to cross the street to see the house he grew up in the bus driver made us get back on the bus... so we had to view the house from the bus. Which sucked. I felt like we spent a lot of time viewing beautiful homes more than anything else. Oh and CNN is not included in the tour. You just stop there for lunch. Overall seeing Atlanta was nice but I wish I had gone to see certain areas on my own.

Good overall, enjoyed the walking parts, but it did start on time, lunch was barely 30 min and the tour ended 30 min early. Also, way too much time spent talking about the Gays in the Buckhead area. Lastly, although convenient to get to the start of, many people do not realize that Peachtree Center train stop is at the Peachtree Center Mall. They don't know it is the same place, there was some confusion and some thought they had to leave the Marta station to get to the Mall a few blocks away, but it is in the same place.
